The Bluebirds went down 1-0 to Bristol Rovers in a reserve friendly at Ninian Park. City had three first team players in the line up with Darren Purse, David Forde and Trevor Sinclair who worked hard throughout the game.

It was a game that more of a nip and tuck midfield battle with the City just lacking the cutting edge upfront.

The decisive goal came in the 75th minute when a crisp drive from Lewis Haldane smashed past a helpless Forde to give the Bristolians the victory.
