A MESSAGE OF THANKS
Following our Friday announcement, the Club are delighted to see the Western Mail today publish a correction and to also apologise for the article that had featured in their May 26th edition. Details are below.
We now hope to move forward together with a positive outlook and welcome the new 2006/07 season with the sense of excitement and anticipation that it deserves.
From the Western Mail: Cardiff City FC stadium project clarification - May 27 2006
Alan Edmunds, Western Mail
CONTRARY to the impression that may have been left by the wording of yesterday's headline in the Western Mail, we are pleased to clarify that the Cardiff City FC stadium project remains firmly on track.
Cardiff County Council have agreed to an extension of time until September, as we reported yesterday, to enable the final hurdles to be overcome.
The club said the business plan had been well received by the council and confirmed the remaining issues raised were being addressed.
Both the club and the council say they remain firmly resolved to enabling the development to commence in the immediate future.
The football club said it had been recognised by all parties that a very significant amount of work had gone into the compilation of the business plan and whilst there are issues that require further clarification or resolution, this would be usual for a project of this size and complexity.
We apologise for any misleading impressions that may have been created by our headline yesterday.
