Our recent semi-final opponents Barnsley wind down our Championship season at Ninian Park this coming Sunday (2.00pm), having already secured their Championship status for next season following their 3-0 home win over Charlton last Saturday. We are currently 13th in the table, with the possibility of finishing in tenth place if we win and both Charlton and Burnley fail to win. Barnsley are currently 17th, but could finish in 15th place if they beat us.

Manager Simon Davey will have four of his regulars unavailable for Sunday - tricky winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce has been affected by an ankle-injury over the past month and will therefore miss the game. Winger Martin Devaney and defender Steve Foster are also out through injury, as is forward Michael Coulson. The former Scarborough striker damaged his cruciate knee-ligaments in training last Tuesday, and will be out of first-team contention for at least eight months. But definitely in action will be skipper and top scorer Brian Howard who has 14 goals (7 of them penalties.) The former Southampton and Swindon midfielder was recently named in the P.F.A.'s Championship "Team of the Season".
