FA CUP FINAL TICKET NEWS
We can officially confirm that following consultation with the Football Association at Wembley Stadium on Thursday, it has been agreed that both participating teams in the FA Cup Final will be allocated a total of 25,000 tickets each.
Additional details were also confirmed during the meeting, including the team colours for match-day and supporter placement of each club inside Wembley in May.
On the toss of a coin, it was decided that Portsmouth would wear their traditional blue, white and yellow strip, while Cardiff City would run out in their black and yellow away kit as was historically worn to a successful outcome in the quarter final and semi-final.
Logistical decisions were also reached at the meeting between officials and the FA. For the final the Cardiff City team and supporters will reside in the West side of the stadium - the opposite side to the semi-final. The decision on the west side was made to ease the arrival of Cardiff City fans travelling to the game.
With the allocation of 25,000 tickets for both clubs being 8,000 less than the semi-final allocation, we will look to implement a policy that is as fair as possible based on the unprecedented demand.
The club looking at implementing a distribution policy after consultation with various supporters groups and full details will be launched on Monday in line with our FA Cup final opponents Portsmouth.
