ALL EYES ON NEWPORT
With FA Cup hysteria now ebbing away, our attention on the Championship still has to wait briefly as we turn our focus to Newport County in the FAW Premier Cup, set for a 7pm kick-off on Tuesday night at Ninian Park.
As already covered, the match will see close to one thousand Newport supporters make the short trip to Cardiff as a place for the final against one of Carmarthen Town and Llanelli takes place on Tuesday February 26th. The televised match will have to be decided on the night, taking in extra time and penalties if required.
We last played Newport County in this competition back on January 26th 2004 when a Stuart Fleetwood goal gave us a 1-0 victory.
