After the final league game of the season Dave Jones spoke to the press about his sides 3-0 win over Barnsley.

"It's nice to finish in front of your fans with a 3-0 win. What it was today was a mental test for the players and I thought they came through it superbly and we put a show on for the fans in the last game.

"The main thing today was to get through with a clean bill of health. Paul Parry did about 70-minutes, he just got cramp and it's no good trying to push them through it. Loovens picked up a yellow card and there was no need to risk him getting another one and missing the final.

"We just made the decisions on the touchline and tried to give everyone as much football as possible. Capaldi felt a twinge so we had to pull him off.

"We are all disappointed that we didn't finish in the play-off spots. When you look at when I arrived, there was nothing here and we had to sell everything we had here to sell. Now I think 90% of the players here you would ask fees for, so there's a lot of good assets here. That tells you that we are growing, you look at what's going on over the road and what's down at the training ground and it shows that we've started to develop. Now we can move on to the next stage."
