Cardiff manager Dave Jones faced the press following his sides 3-1 wins over visitors Blackpool.

"That was a tough match today because they are a very hard working team. At 3-0 we probably just took our foot off the gas and we've had to work extra hard in the last 15-minutes.

"That was to be expected but it was a hard earned three-points against a side that just don't let you rest at all.

"Steve McPhail's shot was a fantastic strike, I bet Simon will be glad to see the back of us because even at their place Thomo's goal was fantastic.

"The third goal was a quality move and the second goal is a good move to be fair and a good finish.

"I'm asking them to keep going and now we've got a few days rest. We've played 5 games in 15 days and when you are running with the same group of people it's hard. The teams that can make three changes and when the game goes on make another three changes some of the players are having a rest and we can't do that.

"I didn't want to push anyone on today and Brownie is the only one that hasn't really been involved in anything. I just wanted to give them the break. Glenn, and Joe, Jimmy wasn't feeling too good. I've asked them to go again and they've done it.

"They are running at full pelt and I've promised them that if they do that then they are less likely to pick up injuries than if they just coast through games."
