DAVE JONES: WOLVES VIEW
Cardiff City are still in the FA Cup and manager Dave Jones gave his post match reaction.
"We started off very brightly and managed to get in front. It was a tough tie for us so we had to keep going right throughout the game. If you want anyone to break away then it would be Whittingham because he's such a good finisher. As well as that Jimmy's left foot is good enough to grace any field. I'm just happy to be through at this moment in time.
"Just because Jimmy's won everything it doesn't matter, he wants to win everything. It was never comfortable even at 2-0. We know each other inside out and we knew they would come out in the second half all guns blazing, but as long as we did what we did in the first 45-minutes then we were always going to win the game.
"It was about not making that mistake that would have let them back into the game. I never thought it was comfortable, it never is against anyone in our division, so it was a hard earned victory today. It's good to be in the next round of the competition. The 1927 team deserve it because they won it and that's well in the past, you probably know more about that than I do. What I'm trying to do here is create my own history here. In all honesty the 1927 win was brilliant but it doesn't really come into my equation.
"I'm not looking at the next round yet, I'm going to enjoy the moment and then I'm going to get ready for Sheffield Wednesday in the league."
