City manager Dave Jones gave his reaction to his sides 0-2 loss against Charlton.

"It's probably our worst performance that I've seen for a very long time. I don't think we made things happen, I don't think they were any better other than they made things happen and they got the goal.

"We didn't clear our lines and it was a lazy corner to give away and then we don't defend it properly.

"There must have been 18 to 20 players in that box but unfortunately the lad has shot and it's gone through. But we didn't play anywhere near to the capabilities that we've got.

"We just looked a different outfit that turned up from last weekend and that's the enigma for me.

"Today we had the opportunity to get the three points and move up the table and with another home game coming all of a sudden you are building slowly. But all the hard work we've put in has gone out the window because players didn't perform.

"I can't think of one performance today from anyone that justified any credit and that's the angry part for me.

"I think when things are not going for you; you have to make things happen. Mentally we were not strong enough today."
