DAVE'S VIEW: TYKES
The questions aimed at Dave Jones following the 1-1 draw at Oakwell were focussed firstly on his thoughts following his grandstand dismissal, of which he obliged.
"We have big referees come down to this division," he said, "and he hasn't put in a big performance. It was a decision which changed the game even though it was only 0-0 at the time.
"I thought we totally dominated and should have won the game and that decision has cost us today. I realise he was selected for today's game, but I don't know why they are dropping down if they are not performing in the Premier League. They should send them into the Sunday morning football leagues if they need to drop down some divisions"
"It was there to see. If he doesn't make the decision then he has to book Joe Ledley for diving. The lad took his leg away, it is a penalty, as simple as that. The referees aren't supposed to send you up among the crowd so they can abuse you and shout at you, but he's a law unto himself sometimes. Why they keep sending Premier League refs down to the Championship I don't know because they treat it as a different game and it's not."
Questions then turned to Dave's thoughts on his two front men. Dave answered, "I think they are both starting to get fitter and sharper. Both of them are getting games and Jimmy got on the score-sheet again today and it was a good goal for him. But strikers don't care how they go in as they hit the net - all goals are good goals. They are proven quality and I'm very happy with what they've both done since joining us."
Meanwhile, Tykes boss Simon Davey said, "Looking at the game I thought we deserved a point. We were up against a good side with good players and we defended strongly. You only have to give players like that half a chance and it is in the back of the net.
"We got back into the game and could have won it, but it was a good spectacle for Championship football. Both teams went to win the game and that showed. Everybody gets a little heated out there and you jump up when the ball strikes someone in the area. I don't know whether we should have had a penalty or not in the second half, but felt that Cardiff ought to have had one in the first.
"We are happy. We are on a good run and will look to continue that in the coming weeks. We are undefeated in four matches and want that run to go on".
