BLUEBIRDS INTERNATIONAL DUTY
It's been a busy period recently on the International scene for several of our players.
At Under-21 level, Darcy Blake had to withdraw through injury from the Wales squad that travelled to play Bosnia-Herzogovina in Sarajevo on Wednesday afternoon. But Aaron Ramsey and Jon Brown were in the eighteen in a match that Wales won 2-1, with both goals coming late to keep the Euro dreams firmly on track. Aaron played seventy minutes of the match, while Jon came on as a substitute.
As for the senior International friendlies, Joe Ledley had to pull out through injury of the Wales squad that won 2-0 against Luxemburg in Luxemburg City, Warren Feeney was a second half substitute in the Northern Ireland squad that trounced Georgia 4-1 at Windsor Park, while Gavin Rae earned a late recall to the Scotland squad that drew 1-1 with Croatia at Hampden Park - Gavin playing the second half as a substitute.
Our other International inclusion came for Peter Enckelman, with the City 'keeper playing the full ninety minutes in an away 2-1 loss against Bulgaria. Here's hoping that all concerned are fit and well after their involvement. It's going to be a very busy ten days for Cardiff City!
