Cardiff U-18's got a good 2-2 draw with local rivals Bristol City on Saturday.

In the first half Cardiff were poor and it was up to Coach Geraint Twose to motivate the youngsters and to produce a positive result. After a quick change around, they heeded Twose's advice in the second half with two good goals scored by the promising strike force of Rafiq Kaeed and Tyrell Webbe. Kaeed's goal came from a well struck volley that left the goalkeeper couldn't stop and Webbe's goal was from right out of the top drawer. The tall striker beat four Bristol defenders to slot the ball home with a clever finish. As well as the two Cardiff strikers, defender Anthony Acheampong impressed with a strong performance at the heart of the Bluebirds defence. This result really showed the desire that Cardiff played with and the first class attitude was also clear to see.

"We worked really hard today and our second half performance merited the result. The set up here is very professional and we're starting to see the benefits of that. I'm trying to instill in the players a mentality of O.K is not we're looking for. We are pushing ourselves higher."
